Colorado Backcountry Flying

A friend and I spent the last week flying around southwest and central Colorado. We snaked our way though 14,000+ snow packed mountain peaks that included Capital Peak, Snowmass Mountain and the breathtaking Maroon Bells. The mountain flying was challenging and exciting. We both got good mountain flying training in that included calculating density altitude and advanced fuel planning. This was key when landing and taking off from Marble. Along the way, we even got some good instrument training in. Flight training doesn't get any better than this. I hope you enjoy the pictures and videos...
